Removing the roof on a Club Car DS or any Club Car is a simple process but you should take some considerations:

  • Ensure you have a clear workspace
  • Grab a 7/16″ socket or socket driver (the roof bolts are 7/16″)
  • Have a buddy if you are not comfortable lifting or moving cumbersome objects (the roof is a little heavy when released)
  • Have a place to put the roof down and store it because it’s larger than you think
  • Save all of your bolts and hardware in a labeled bag so you know where they go later on
  • Get a good drill/driver combo for faster work of the tear-down
  • These are some replacement roofs you can get on Amazon
  • This is the reddot topsail canvas roof I will be running on this particular Club Car DS build restoration
